Kanyini Education - A Deep Learning Experience on Anangu Country
Available only for participants aged 18+ as part of group training or experiences over 4 days if delivered on Country.
Includes Cultural Tours and Cultural Workshops as part of the full Kanyini Education package.
Kanyini is the Anangu word that speaks to the principle of unconditional love, responsibility, and connection—to family, to Country, to culture, and to spirit. At Tali Katu, our Kanyini Education offering is a powerful, place-based learning experience rooted in Anangu cultural frameworks and guided by Traditional Owners and senior community members.
This immersive training experience takes participants beyond cultural awareness into the realm of cultural responsibility. Through storytelling, truth-telling, guided cultural tours, and hands-on workshops, participants will engage with key themes such as:
• The meaning and practice of Kanyini
• Anangu worldview and connection to Tjukurpa (law, culture, and story)
• The ongoing impacts of colonisation and the importance of truth-telling
• Cultural safety, deep listening, and ethical allyship
• Healing, identity, and community leadership
Kanyini Education is only available to participants aged 18 years and over and must be booked as a group experience.
It includes Cultural Tours and Cultural Workshops as part of the complete program. Camping on Country and Accommodation provided by Voyages requires additional payment.
This is not a tourism activity - it’s a transformational journey that invites individuals, teams, and leaders to walk respectfully, reflect deeply, and return to their roles with strengthened understanding and purpose.
